Stewart is a neo-gothic, surrealist artist who’s come to be known as “Pyropainter.” His process begins by starting a controlled fire and taking photographs of it. Once a sketch is formulated on a photo manipulated program, he uses acrylics to paint the final product. By observing the fire formations in each image, he reimagines them as gothics and demon from a different, yet close world.
